Putnam Lot
Outdoor Dining
The Community Development Department is working with local businesses to create a permanent outdoor dining space in the vacant lot where Putnam Hall once stood. This will move the current outdoor dining out of the parking lot, increasing parking access in downtown while still allowing residents and visitors to enjoy eating or sitting outdoors. Funds have been set aside to begin the design process and a concept design has been created.
Phase 1 of the project will install a concrete platform near the sidewalk, creating a fully accessible and comfortable dining area. Phase 2 will expand access to the lower part of the lot, adding a stage or outdoor performance area and lighting for expanded use of the lot.
