The Town of Orange is working with the Franklin Regional Council of Governments (FRCOG) to create a Housing Production Plan. The goals of the Housing Production Plan (HPP) are to:
- 1) identify housing needs for Orange and
- 2) identify strategies that facilitate development of affordable housing.
If a town has an approved HPP and makes progress in creating affordable housing, it is protected from Ch. 40B housing development proposals, and the town has control over its development.
