	Children under the age of 13 should be sitting in the back seat. 3 our of 4 child safety seats are improperly installed. All 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico have laws requiring children to be restrained in vehicles. Failure to read the child safety seat instructions, in addition to the vehicle owner manual regarding installation could result in serious injury or death as a result of improperly secured seats or restraints. During the past 30 years, approximately 8,325 children's lives have been saved by the use of child restraints.
